CHICAGO — Tide Laundromat, part of Tide Services, recently expanded its presence in this market by adding a new store in the city’s Portage Park neighborhood.
The Milwaukee Avenue location is the brand’s sixth laundromat here and is part of a broader national growth strategy that includes more than 140 laundromat units in development.
The store offers both self-service laundry and wash-dry-fold services. US Laundry LLC, a Tide Laundromat franchisee, owns and operates the location intended to serve residents of Portage Park, Jefferson Park and surrounding communities.
According to the company, the laundromat features auto-dispensing washers that automatically add Tide detergent and Downy softener with each load. Customers also have access to amenities such as free Wi-Fi, charging stations, ample seating and a large parking lot.
The Portage Park store represents the latest step in the company's expansion efforts. Tide Services, a subsidiary of Procter & Gamble, operates the Tide Laundromat and Tide Cleaners brands. In addition to its Chicago locations, Tide Laundromat operates stores in Dallas and Fort Lauderdale, Florida, while continuing to pursue both new-build and conversion opportunities nationwide.
